Hi! I’m Missy Joy.
Joy has always held a special meaning in my life — which is exactly why I’m so passionate about helping families experience joy in pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. These moments are sacred, transformative, and deserve to be met with celebration, not just survival.
I’m a wife and a mom to two little souls. I hold a Master’s in Social Work and have spent years serving families through community health, hospital settings, and trauma-informed women’s care. Supporting others has always been at the heart of what I do.
My journey as a doula began when I gave birth to my first child. During that season, I immersed myself in learning everything I could about birth — and with the help of a wonderful postpartum doula, I was able to truly enjoy the “fourth trimester.” That experience sparked something in me. I realized that my background in advocacy and my newfound love for all things pregnancy and birth made doula work a natural fit.
(And yes — as a former college athlete, I still bring that same energy into birth work! Let’s just say I’ve always been a pretty great hype girl, even if my locker room performances were more entertainment than in tune.)
As your doula, I’m here to support your family — whether your dream birth involves twinkly lights and a natural labor, or a calm, planned induction with an epidural. I proudly serve all families and identities — including LGBTQ+ parents, single parents, religious and non-religious families, and anyone who simply wants a safe, affirming birth experience.
My goal is to equip you with knowledge, advocate for your wishes, and help you find the joy in this beautiful, messy, transformative season. It would be an honor to walk alongside you and your family through this incredible journey.
Let’s grab coffee!
